Data Engineer

We're looking for a Data Engineer to join our team in Dublin as part of our Technology function.

Key Responsibilities 

• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimising data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc

• Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability.

• Troubleshooting complex technical problems to alleviate issues and performance bottlenecks for our customers.

• Continuous improvement of existing database design, processes and standards.

Your Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in data engineering, digital commerce experience preferred

• Hands on experience with SQL and Python

• Basic understanding of query engines (RDBMS, NoSQL) and data concepts:

• Streaming/Batch/Structured/Unstructured

Good to Have:

• Working knowledge of distributed processing engines (massively parallel processing, Hadoop, Spark)

• Experienced with GIT and DevOps concepts (e.g. CI/CD)

• Experienced with DWH ( Snowflake, Redshift )

• Experienced with different file formats and encoding (JSON, CSV, XML)

• Knowledgeable about data presentation and visualisation

• Understanding of Cloud, AWS
