We're looking for an Associate Editor to join WGSN Fashion’s youth team who can use their design or trend research background to power our global youth content.  You’ll currently be working in a youth based fashion business and be in a junior design or research role. You will have experience of tracking current youth market trends, visualising and creating reports and presenting them to your business or to clients.

Key accountabilities

  • Trends research across men’s and women’s youth product content 

  • Deliver concise written, visual and video report analysis showing a clear understanding of the subscribers needs

  • Collaborate on consultancy projects, as and when required, with WGSN’s Advisory teams.

  • Participate in client meetings

  • Consistently evaluate internal data and client feedback to improve youth content standards and industry relevance.

  • Active participation in the presentation content for WGSN trend days

  • Act as an ambassador for your content area both internally and externally

  • Liaise and collaborate with international content team as well as content marketing

  • Contributing to overall team objectives and be accountable for specific personal content goals

  • This role will require someone prepared to travel  and take pictures at  and report on industry events, such as product trade shows and music and youth festivals.


Skills, experience & qualification required 

  • An understanding of youth trends how to research and validate them globally, and the ability to pin-point commercial impact across apparel, footwear, accessories and lifestyle products in both premium and mainstream markets

  • If you come from a design background you will have a proven ability to sketch and CAD, with good Adobe illustrator skills. 

  • A willingness to embrace data and analytics and use it in the role to gain an understanding of the part it plays in commercial success. You will show a commitment to continually improve data analysis skills to better pinpoint trends that will impact the market.

  • Ability to take ownership of personal assignments, prioritise workload and provide support to other members of team when needed

  • Excellent organisation, communication and collaboration skills with the ability to use these within an international team to ensure production standards, reports and all other work outputs are of a consistently high standard and are submitted on time

  • The ability to build strong working relationships with Global Sales, Client Services and Marketing to help facilitate sales and client engagement;

  • Clear communication skills with the confidence to feedback customer information to Heads of Departments and Directors
