We're looking for a Image Quality Assurance associate with expert knowledge in CMF (textiles/materials) to join our Image Management team as part of our Design function.

The ideal candidate for this position will have an expert knowledge of clothing and accessory terminology - types of collars, sleeves, silhouettes, design details, etc. This person will also need a broad expert knowledge of materials and textiles, being able to tell between knits and wovens, fiber compositions, and weave types. A strong attention to detail is a must. WGSN is the industry-leading content and technology solution for professionals in the style, fashion and design sectors. Our Image Management team covers over 600 women's catwalk collections (and also Retail, Trade Shows, and Street Style) and every image we have is specifically keyworded. All the images are searchable based on the tags our freelancers give them and this position entails performing quality control on those images. You will be quality controlling the work of our freelancers, making corrections, as well as cropping and assigning keywords to images for the WGSN Image Library.

The primary function of the Quality Assurance team member is to ensure that images uploaded to WGSN’s Image Library meet the high quality we are known for. The QA member must have a keen eye for detail and be able to catch mistakes before the images are live on the site. This is an entry-level position.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Work with the image team to perform quality assurance on every image that goes through our RACE software

  • Keyword and crop images to specific company standards.

  • Reliably monitor and maintain calendars to guarantee that deadlines are met

  • Proactively provide feedback for freelancers and others on the QA team

  • Achieve mastery of WGSN’s Image Library tags; regularly check for any potential mistakes or issues

Your Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a fashion/design/textile related field

  • Must have a strong knowledge and understanding of fashion terminology and expert knowledge of

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Writing must be concise and grammatical

  • Must be self-motivated and pro-active, and able to show initiative and produce original ideas

  • Knowledge of Mac applications, Lightroom and Photoshop are a plus

  • Able to work both with a team and independently; be able to take direction and collaborate with peers and managers

  • Excellent time management skills are imperative

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback from managers, peers and freelancers
