We're looking for a Managing Editor, Research and Advisory to join our team in London/New York as part of our Content function.

This senior role is part of WARC’s content team, and will lead our survey research and provide editorial oversight for bespoke advisory projects. This person will be the lead for ensuring a high quality of output, both in terms of editorial quality and research methodology.

Key Responsibilities 

  •  Create both long-form content, i.e., written reports; as well as short-form content, such as presentations, infographics, short blogs, podcasts and webinars. Previous experience with InDesign would be beneficial
  • Draft strong narratives, provide conclusions and actionable recommendations via analysis in written reports and presentations
  • Scope and deliver survey-based projects for key WARC reports such as Marketer’s Toolkit and Future of Strategy, ongoing survey research commitments with industry partners, and bespoke advisory projects in conjunction with the advisory team
  • Scope, supervise and edit work from freelance writers to ensure high quality final deliverables along with directly managing and mentoring two team members
  • Write questionnaires, manage survey implementation on our platform, analyse data and create charts to a high standard
  • Analyse other forms of data such as case study metadata, and ROI and media budgets data contained in WARC case studies; along with desk research and the integration of other research sources into analyses and reports
  • Present via both live and online channels to a variety of audiences and knowledge levels. Engage with clients to support advisory projects in particular

Your Experience

  • Domain knowledge of the marketing and advertising industry
  • Strong writing and editing skills in English
  • Survey design, implementation and analysis 
  • Presentation and public speaking skills
  • Experience working with survey management tools such as Qualltrics or (ideally) Alchemer 
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ideally will have some experience managing a team
