We are looking for a creative, proactive and resourceful Motion Graphic Designer. You will be passionate about brand design and animation, and be plugged into all the latest motion trends and techniques, particularly dynamic typography. This role will work across a range of brands within the Ascential portfolio including Cannes Lions, WARC and Money2020 producing a range of digital video content with storytelling at the heart, and social platform engagement its driver.

Here’s a sample of what we do:

Key Responsibilities 

  • Defining an animation’s narrative, structure, style and tone
  • Working to briefs to produce motion design pieces
  • Using knowledge of social media content to inform design decisions
  • Adding graphics elements to video footage
  • Creating templates for more efficient batch production
  • Problem-solving and communicating to stakeholders throughout the production process
  • Contribute to the team’s objectives and play a part in delivering them
  • Champion and be accountable for creative excellence and high-end execution
  • This list is not exhaustive and there may be other activities you are required to deliver.

Your Experience

  • 3+ years industry experience as a Motion Designer
  • Expert in After Effects, experience with Premiere Pro
  • Advanced knowledge of video codecs, file formats and social specifications
  • Demonstrable knowledge of using expressions/coding in After Effects for efficient production and template construction
  • Ability to calmly work under time pressured deadlines
  • Solid understanding of adhering to brand guidelines but still pushing boundaries 
  • Ability to confidently present ideas and technical execution to stakeholders
  • Be passionate about the craft of video from both a storytelling aspect and production perspective
  • Up to date with the latest video and social media design trends
  • Evidence of dynamic animated typography
  • Strong understanding of easing/keyframes/movement
  • Confident display of graphic design, composition and layout
  • Have meticulous attention to detail
  • Be a team player with a collaborative mind-set
