We're looking for a Senior Designer to join our team in London UK, as part of our Design - LIONS Marketing function.

The Senior Designer is a vital member of the LIONS Marketing team and will work on creative projects from brief to delivery for all our products, awards and events. They will drive high design standards and be a brand guardian for the globally known LIONS brand and our portfolio, which includes LIONS Membership, The Work, Advisory, Learning, Cannes Lions, Eurobest and more. The Senior Designer displays leadership and confidence working within an international organisation and supporting teams across the business. They will report to the Art Director and handle a wide variety of briefs. Their direct contribution includes, but is not limited to, the production of digital content and communication materials, brand guidelines, collateral, print materials, product, training and support documents, and events assets. 

This is a more advanced role, requiring a proactive, self-starter who is able to manage their time and delivery commitments. They work in close partnership with the Art Director and others on the team. This role will have oversight from the Art Director, but is expected to own the design and delivery for selected creative projects. They will also help lead creative and workflow when the Art Director is unavailable. They are recognized on the team for their experience, advanced design skills, as well as leadership.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Graphic design for a range of formats, working under the creative guidance of the Art Director. Bringing a fresh eye and enthusiasm to each design project.
  • Owning briefs from start to completion. Designing and testing work to make sure each element is completed in full, on time, and in line with company/brand standards

  • Liaise and collaborate with relevant business partners to produce assets. Will follow-up with questions, updates, and edits as needed.

  • Ability to work independently to lead a creative project, while continually sharing progress with the Art Director and other stakeholders on the Marketing team and across the business.

  • Designs digital and print materials for a variety of projects across marketing activities including, email, social media assets, web assets, content reports, supporting collateral, advertisements.

  • This role involves close collaboration with all current and future members of the LIONS Marketing team, including Head of Brand and Content, copywriters, art directors, digital producers, other designers, as well as marketing managers and colleagues in other departments.

  • Ability to thrive in an exciting and busy environment, working for an iconic brand. Strong problem-solving skills and leadership qualities. Motivates and inspires the team around them.

  • Belief in the power of creativity.


Your Experience

  • Ability to create sophisticated and compelling designs that meet project requirements, brand guidelines and LIONS creative standards. 

  • Must have strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, XD etc.) as well as Canva and other tools. A specific skill or strength is beneficial (coding, illustration, photography, UX, video, animation, etc.). Understanding of typography, color, print and digital production is essential. 

  • Communication and collaboration skills are key. 

  • Curiosity, creativity, and pride in the craft of graphic design. Stays up to date on upcoming trends and technologies in the design field and on social media platforms.

  • Excellent organizational skills required; must be able to handle multiple projects and produce a high volume of quality work within tight deadlines.
