We're looking for a Senior Designer to join our team in London as part of our Marketing function.

The Senior Designer is a senior member of the marketing team of Money20/20 and works on creative projects from brief to delivery.

The Senior Designer’s direct contribution includes, but is not limited to, the production of brand collateral, print materials, web content for client engagement and promotional pieces for; product and support materials, trade shows and events space.

The Senior Designer will also be expected to collaborate with the other marketing and design functions across the wider Business Unit, of which Money20/20 is a part of. The Senior Designer role will report into the Art Director. From time to time, you may be asked to work on other projects within the Business Unit. 

The Senior Designer is expected to demonstrate leadership and confidence, working within an international organisation. This role will support the Money20/20 marketing team across all their regional efforts as well as on Inter-brand campaigns within Ascential.

This is a more advanced role, requiring a proactive, self-starter who is able to manage their time and delivery commitments in an independent fashion and work in close partnership with the Art Director and other brand partners. This role will have oversight from the Art Director but is expected to own the design and delivery for selected creative projects. They will also help lead creative and workflow when the Art Director is unavailable. They are recognized on the team for their experience, advanced skills as well as leadership.

Working closely with our marketing (& other business) partners you will be responsible for: 

  • Driving design and production execution 

  • Embedding branding and ensuring quality outputs 

  • Leading colleagues with less experience and acting as a mentor

  • Developing workflows and project management plans

  • Owning the end to end delivery of projects

  • Supporting the Art Director 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Creates local/global collateral under the creative guidance of the Art Director. 

  • Develops multi-month workflows and plans with a project management focus.

  • Owns project briefs from start to completion. Designs and tests work to make sure each project brief is completed in full, on time and in line with company standards.

  • Liaises and collaborates with relevant business partners to produce assets. Follow-up with questions, updates and edits as needed.

  • Stays up to date on design best practices and innovation and actively trains others to improve know-how and design capability across the business.

  • Is self-directed and works independently to lead a creative project or collaborate with fellow brand and BU (where relevant) Designers. 

  • Manages creative projects while continually sharing progress with the Art Director. Steps in to represent the Art Director both internally and in external forums 

  • Leads Designers on large “hero” projects. 

  • Collaborates with agency teams that are selected to work on projects for the brand.

  • Offers insight and constructive feedback to other designers to help expand and refine work.

  • Designs digital and print materials for a variety of projects, including: social campaigns, events and branding collateral, and more. 

  • Plays an active role in participating and sharing design best practice with the wider Ascential Design Community.  


Your Experience

  • Works with the Art Director to create compelling designs that meet project requirements, brand guidelines and Ascential’s creative standards. 

  • Communicates and collaborates well with business partners (Marketing, Operations, Performance & Automation, Product, Localization etc.) to thoroughly complete projects on time. Experience developing multi-month workflows and plans with a project management focus. 

  • Must have strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.)

  • A specific skill or strength is beneficial (coding, illustration, photography, UX, motion graphics etc.

  • Skills in typography, colour, print and web layout is an essential requirement. 

  • Excellent organizational skills required; must be able to handle multiple projects and produce a high volume of quality work within tight deadlines.

  • Must be self-motivated to own creative projects but still be a team player, comfortable with following direction and receiving feedback as required. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and leadership qualities. Motivates and inspires other designers.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, visual communications or related fields required.
