We're looking for a Strategist Prints & Graphics to join our team in Singapore, Hong Kong or Shanghai as part of our Content function.

We're looking for an individual to join our Prints and Graphics apparel content team based in one of the following three cities: Singapore, Shanghai or Hong Kong. You must have personal eligibility to work in one of these cities. The role is predominantly for a men’s and youth specialist, however from time to time you will be required to create content for women’s, kid’s, swim, active and intimates. You’ll be primarily producing trend reports; however, you’ll be required to edit artworks and occasionally design too. This role sits at a level that is equivalent to an in-brand prints and graphics designer.

With proven industry experience, you will have a deep understanding of the prints and graphics market, with a minimum of three years working in either a brand, a supplier, a retailer or a design studio. Primarily you will be producing your own content, however the role also entails some collaboration with our team of international experts to support their content output.

You will have an in-depth understanding of trends, commercial market segments and sustainability. We are looking for someone who will be excited to work with WGSN’s preparatory data and analytics to help inform their trend output.

You will need to be proactive in presenting new ideas and delivering innovation, with the ability to pinpoint trends that will have commercial impact across all levels of the fashion market.


Key Responsibilities

  • Researching and creating solution-driven content, showing a clear understanding of client needs across all product categories. To deliver this content in either written, visual or video format
  • Editing print and graphic designs using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, for the men’s, youth, women’s, kids’, swim, active and intimates’ markets
  • Working with international freelancers to commission and edit content
  • Forecasting and tracking with quantitative and qualitative data within all markets and demographics
  • Active participation in WGSN trend days
  • Consistently evaluating internal data and WGSN client feedback to improve our content standards and relevance
  • Edit team’s content, ensuring standards are met and ready for sign-off, as directed by the Head of Prints and Graphics
  • Collaborate with the department and wider content team
  • Travel nationally and internationally to cover industry trade shows, conferences and other events when required
  • Work with the commercial teams to support client relationships
  • Present to and speak with clients to understand their needs
  • Work with WGSN’s consultancy arm on research when required
  • Provide quotes for press and broadcast media as required
  • In the future, the role may require some line management responsibilities in partnership with the Head of Prints and Graphics


Your Experience

  • A proven ability to sketch and design, with good Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills
  • Proven experience of research, analysis, writing and editing content
  • Good written English
  • Proven career experience within the apparel print and graphics industry
  • A good understanding of how macro and micro trends and social media platforms are impacting print and graphics output within the apparel industry
  • Understanding of print and graphics applications and techniques as well as sustainable alternatives
  • Ability to analyse visual and text data to identify emerging print and graphics trends
  • Ability to take ownership of personal assignments, prioritise workload and informally support other members of team
  • Good organisation, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work remotely while supporting colleagues in London and the US
  • The ability to manage your own time effectively to meet exacting content deadlines
  • Willing to invest time to build strong working relationships with the wider content team as well as sales, client services and marketing
  • Technical skills: Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace
