We're looking for a VIP Manager to join our team in London as part of our RWRC Brand. 

The VIP Manager who will be responsible for maintaining VIP relationships across our world-class events and campaigns. The role will be responsible for acquiring and retaining high-value event attendees, building relationships, overseeing personalised acquisition and delivering the highest level of direct customer care.

The relationships and networks developed by the VIP manager will drive the success of our events – improving the quality of our audiences and increasing the inventory for our sponsorship sales. The position is best suited to a self-motivated and confident individual who is happy to work individually and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills and be driven to develop long term relationships with senior stakeholders. The candidate will develop and execute a VIP strategy that raises awareness of key events, generates desire to attend, ensures attendance and manages onsite experience for the confirmed VIPs. You will also need to be comfortable writing your own copy and collaborating with the other members of the team to share ideas and develop acquisition tactics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, own and manage relationships with VIPs (Global Retail C-Suite and Future Leaders), using these relationships to generate high-calibre event audiences and constantly develop new contacts
  • Develop tactics and ideas to attract new VIP contacts to engage with Retail Week Live, Connect and World Retail Congress.
  • Contact selected individuals by email and by telephone to discuss attendance and securing their participation in various structured networking formats
  • Collaborate with the events team (marketing, operations and sales) to identify key VIP community members, drive event attendance and VIP engagement, as well as assisting with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) for key clients.
  • Work closely with the event sponsors to maximise the participation of their clients in the event

  • Work closely with the team to validate the eligibility of incoming requests for VIP passes
  • Manage the delivery of VIP experience throughout the campaign and on site – creating personalised agendas, networking opportunities, liaising with EAs
  • Demonstrate great interpersonal relationship building and management skills
  • Deliver to clear timelines
  • Meet and greet the VIPs onsite at the events, ensure they are looked after and participate in the proposed networking/social programme.
  • Support VIP Dinners, Breakfast Briefings and Closed-Door Meetings and secure attendance at these functions and formats.

Your Experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills and the ability to network with senior industry figures
  • Time management with an ability to multi-task and attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm and a collaborative mindset
  • The role will focus on events in retail. Experience or knowledge of this sector is ideal but not essential
  • Experience in a corporate B2B events environment
  • Knowledge and experience of diary management and projects involving significant multi-tasking would be advantageous.
