We're looking for an Editorial Assistant to join our team in London as part of our Content function.

Your Role: You will be proofreading a large number of articles and case studies and using basic HTML to prepare them for publication on our website. You will write summaries of our long-form content, update pages across the website and assist in the publication of the WARC podcast

Key Responsibilities 

  • Work with the Assistant Content Production Manager on the prioritisation, preparation and publication of content on warc.com
  • Proofread a wide range of articles, case studies and research papers pre-publication.
  • Write clear and concise summaries for case studies and other content.
  • Assist with the twice-weekly publication of the WARC podcast.
  • Create and update pages across warc.com using WARC’s content management system.
  • Publish content on warc.com, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • You are an advocate and ally for diversity, equity and inclusion
  • You are a connector, working hard to ensure people and projects are not inadvertently siloed or silenced

Your Experience

  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • The ability to organise your work effectively and work to tight deadlines.
  • A strong eye for accuracy, detail and consistency.
  • Experience of team collaboration.
  • Good IT skills, including familiarity with MS Office.
  • Experience of working in an editorial or publishing team, either via previous employment, an internship or work experience, is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with web content management systems, basic HTML and publishing software (e.g. Photoshop) is desirable but not essential. Training will be provided.
  • An understanding of or desire to learn more about advertising, marketing and the creative industries.
  • Fluency in Chinese or Portuguese would be an advantage as we also publish content in those languages, but this is not essential.
